Construction Worker

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various carpentry techniques and be proficient in using both hand and power tools. This role involves working on diverse projects, including residential remodeling and new home builds, where attention to detail and craftsmanship are paramount. The Carpenter will be responsible for the following responsibilities listed below. Pay based on experience.

Responsibilities

• Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made from wood, plywood, and wallboard.
• Perform frame carpentry to create the framework for buildings.
• Rough framing of walls, ceilings, flooring and roofs
• Finish carpentry including hanging crown moldings, installing window/door casings and baseboards, installing fixtures and hardware, cabinet installation, drywall, patching, and painting
• Experience with tile a plus
• Check the accuracy of completed work in accordance with the plans.
• Fabricate custom woodwork as needed for specific projects.
• Install drywall and plaster to create smooth surfaces for finishing.
• Operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively to complete tasks.
• Assist in construction estimating by providing input on material needs and project timelines.
• Perform heavy lifting as required during the construction process.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure project specifications are met.
• Must be able to read building codes, blueprints, and drawings
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety.
• Other responsibilities may arise as deemed necessary

Requirements

• Min 3 years experience in carpentry and knowledge of remodeling and new construction.
• Strong skills in frame carpentry, drywall installation, plastering, and concrete forming.
• Proficiency in trades, including; frame to finish
• Proficiency with both hand tools and power tools commonly used in carpentry work.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) as needed on the job site.
• Must have a strong work ethic and take pride in all work.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.
• The ability to work efficiently without wasting materials
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Must be able to read building codes, blueprints and drawings.
• A valid driver's license is required for travel between job sites.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
