Job Summary :

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Database Administrator to join our IT team. As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our databases, ensuring data integrity, and optimizing database performance. Responsibilities include database design, security, backup and recovery, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities :

• Design, implement, and maintain the organization's database systems to ensure secure and efficient data storage, retrieval, and manipulation.
• Monitor database performance and optimize query execution, resource utilization, and database configuration for maximum efficiency and reliability.
• Install, configure, and upgrade database management systems (DBMS) and related software tools.
• Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability in the event of system failures or disasters.
• Collaborate with development teams to design and implement database structures and schemas that meet application requirements and performance goals.
• Create and maintain database documentation, including data dictionaries, schema diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
• Perform database tuning and query optimization to improve system performance and response times.
• Monitor and resolve database-related incidents, troubleshoot issues, and perform root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
• Implement and enforce database security policies and access controls to protect sensitive data from unauthorized access or breaches.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, advancements, and best practices in database administration and data management.
