Event Utilities Section - Temp Labor Work
Duties and Responsibilities :
Electrical Cord Management : Transport, tape down, and remove extension cords in exhibit halls and meeting rooms to ensure proper functionality and safety.
Equipment Placement : Assist in positioning electrical equipment and components during event setups and teardowns.
Storage Maintenance : Recoil extension cords and return them to appropriate storage areas after use.
Heavy Lifting : Assist with moving or positioning electrical components weighing up to 50 pounds.
Key Exclusions :
Workers will not handle powered connections or disconnections.
Shift Schedules :
1st Shift : 7 : 00 AM - 3 : 30 PM
2nd Shift : 2 : 30 PM - 11 : 00 PM
Qualifications :
Familiarity with electrical equipment and extension cord management.
Adherence to safety protocols for handling electrical components.
Organizational skills for managing equipment storage.
General Work Expectations for All Positions
Work Hours : Shifts range from 4 to 12 hours within a 24-hour period. The majority of shifts are 8 hours long, but actual lengths depend on event requirements.
Flexibility : Workers may be asked to adjust their hours or shifts based on event needs.
Transportation : Workers are responsible for their transportation to the site or the designated parking areas with shuttle service provided to the venue.
Worker Requirements
Attire : Workers must wear clean, black, collared shirts, long black pants (or full-length skirts), and black closed-toe shoes. No hats or bandanas are allowed. Workers not in proper attire may be dismissed.
Photo ID : Workers must display a company photo ID badge at all times, featuring their name, picture, and company name.
English Proficiency : Workers must be able to understand and follow instructions in English.
