We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Emergency Response Team Member to join our Health Services Department at a Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) correctional facility.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing emergency assessment and medical care to inmate patients, serving as the first responder at the scene of sudden illness or emergency, and determining the most appropriate method of transportation to the local hospital.
You will prioritize treatments for patients with multiple problems, employ established medical emergency procedures, techniques, methods, and equipment, including performing emergency triage.

- A minimum of one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade level in the federal service
- A valid National Registry Paramedic certification or state Paramedic license in the state of the position being applied for
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, making sound decisions under pressure
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare teams and other stakeholders
