Are you the Clinician we have been looking for? In this position you will be able to convey your passion for helping others by working with our youth! Total Achievement Program (TAP) is a therapeutic after-school and summer program for youth ages 6 to 12 years old. TAP staff work closely with the youths’ families, schools, and community agency providers to support each client’s educational success as part of a comprehensive treatment team. Our Clinician focuses on group therapy in the latency age program. Our team provides therapeutic support for children with mental health challenges to avert psychiatric hospitalization or out-of-home placements, and to achieve their goals at home, in the community and school with therapeutic interventions that expand beyond our afterschool setting's usefulness.

JRI Provides The Training So That
- YOU will be responsible for the clinical care of youth while in our afterschool program, as well as coordination and support related to clinical care and needs outside of each site.
- YOU will support youth in developing the social and adaptive skills to they need to be their best selves within the structure of our program, their home, and communities by utilizing your clinical skills and knowledge to explore creative methods to support the unique needs of each child served.
- YOU will model to and lead our staff in provision of the culturally competent, evidenced-based clinical practice.
- YOU will use creative and fun modalities to meet the individual needs of our youth.
- YOU will help design weekly curriculum for our group therapy sessions.

- Candidates must have a minimum of a Master’s degree in Social Work, psychology, counseling from an accredited college or university preferred. Independent License preferred.
- Candidates must be knowledgeable in growth and development; able to obtain and interpret information in terms of the needs of emotionally disturbed, mentally ill youth and their families; and understand of the range of interventions and treatments required by this population.
- Candidates who have experience working with latency age children or experience in behavior modification are preferred.
- Candidates must be available to work afternoons into evenings. Which provides flexibility in the mornings and weekends for you!
- Maintains valid driver’s license as transporting youth is required.
- At JRI, you will learn to provide physical interventions and verbal de-escalations to provide the safest therapeutic atmosphere for our youth.
- Background and driving record checks will be performed.
Salary : $800 - $4,000
