What are the responsibilities and job description for the Emergency Room Diversion BCBA-Fee For Service position at Justice Resource Institute?
Who We Are Looking For:
Be the change! We are seeking a dedicated team member to join a creative, flexible, and intensive community- based team striving to eliminate emergency room boarding for kids and instead to do what it takes to keep them safe at home with their families. In this position, you will be able to convey your passion for helping others with a dynamic team by bringing an energetic and positive approach while working with youth and families in their homes and communities.
Through early intervention and intensive community-based support, our team at JRI aims to divert psychiatric admissions via assessment, safety planning, coaching, psychoeducation, skill building, connections to informal and formal supports and 24-hr on call support. Our Emergency Department Diversion team is inclusive of Mental Health Clinicians, Board Certified Behavior Analysts, Family Partners, and Therapeutic Support Specialists. Referrals for this service are exclusively through the Emergency Department and/or with the local Emergency Service Provider (ESP).
What You'll Do:
We are seeking a part time, or Fee for Service (FFS) BCBA to provide comprehensive support for youth and their families. The youth you serve could be struggling with behavioral issues that are affecting their ability to be safe at home, in the community, and/or in school. Diagnoses that we see frequently are ASD, ADHD, and PTSD, as well as other mental health and developmental issues, and problems with family dynamics. You will conduct a Functional Behavioral Assessment, and then develop treatment plans and behavior support plans to aid the youth and families you serve. You will participate in collaboration with youth’s school, therapists, the Department of Mental Health and other service providers. The BCBA will provide training, support and guidance to program staff and families to best support the individual and follow through with plans. You will work on a comprehensive team including a Clinician, Family Partner, and Support Staff.
