JusticeWorks YouthCare is seeking a Truancy Prevention Specialist! As a Truancy Prevention Specialist, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students and families in our community. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to reduce truancy and improve school attendance in our schools. Your role will include coordinating with school staff, families, and community organizations to build relationships and develop resources to support students and families. You will also monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of truancy prevention efforts and recommend changes to improve outcomes. If you are passionate about working in the field of Juvenile Justice, Child Welfare or Social Work, we are looking for you!

The qualified Truancy Prevention Specialist will:
- Monitor student attendance and identify patterns of chronic absenteeism.
- Conduct home visits and meetings with students and families to assess challenges affecting school attendance.
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans to improve student attendance.
- Transport clients utilizing personal vehicle, as necessary.
The qualified Truancy Prevention Specialist will have:
- High School Diploma required.
- Valid driver’s license, auto insurance and access to a vehicle.
- Pass current, applicable clearances.
- Pass pre-employment, post-offer drug screening.
- Ability to work non-traditional hours including evenings and weekends.
