Position Summary
Under the direction of the Principal, the Director of Campus Ministry is responsible for prayer and sacramental life of the school including liturgies, prayer services and student and faculty retreat programs. This position may involve the teaching of two or more academic classes.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
- Direct all faith activities within the Lasallian Student Life Office
- Organize and implement grade level retreats and Kairos, that foster student faith development, spirituality, and belonging
- Organize and facilitate prayer experiences for entire community including several schoolwide
liturgies
- Coordinate morning prayer on campus in a way that involves student and faculty participation and highlights significant Catholic and Lasallian days
- Work in partnership with school administrators in leading faculty, staff, parents, and alumni in
Lasallian formation, prayer, and spiritual opportunities
- Collaborate with Student Life team to foster and develop student leadership and voice
- Establish impactful student leadership opportunities for ministry while also inviting the whole
student body to participate
- Collaborate with Student Life team in training Lasallian Student Leaders
- Work in conjunction with the Director of Outreach to grow a culture of service for the Justin-Siena community
- Take part in District and Regional formation opportunities as provided throughout the year.
- Recognize and celebrate the spiritual and cultural diversity of school community
- Facilitate conversations and opportunities for student vocations, including district level
programming
- Collaborate with Religious Studies department on faith formation
- Support administrative team in times of crisis and/or grief
- Work with the President, to ensure that the policies of Lasallian Education Corporation and the
Board of Trustees, regarding ministry and Lasallian Catholic Identity are being fulfilled
- Ensure that ministry objectives from the Strategic Plan are implemented
- Participate in professional learning teams and schoolwide professional development initiatives
- Build and maintain positive relationships with students and staff
- Communicate effectively and consistently with parents and colleagues
