JustinBradley’s client, a leading source of mortgage financing, is seeking an experienced Application Administrator III to manage, configure, and optimize Atlassian tools (Jira, Jira Service Desk, Confluence) across front-end and back-end environments. Responsibilities include automation, performance tuning, troubleshooting, integrations, and cloud migrations within a Linux environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and configure Jira, Jira Service Desk, and Confluence, including installation, upgrades, and security configurations.
- Develop automations, scripts, and integrations using Atlassian REST APIs.
- Optimize performance, troubleshoot system issues, and ensure high availability.
- Lead cloud migrations (AWS, SaaS) and integrate Atlassian tools with external applications.
- Utilize scripting (Groovy/Python), Java-based tech stack, Linux shell scripting, and JQL/CQL queries.
- Manage Jira Service Management and ITSM workflows.
- Monitor systems, analyze logs, and implement security updates.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Jira plugins (ScriptRunner, Portfolio, Xray, Comala, Refined, JMW, JSU, EazyBI, Dynamic forms, Elements Connect).
- AWS expertise (EC2, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, Lambda, CLI).
- Technical experience in Jira and Confluence Architecture and underlying tech stack.
- Jira and Confluence – Admin and System Admin functionalities.
- Scripting language – Groovy (preferable), Python.
- Atlassian Plugin SDK and Plugin architecture.
- Java Tech Stack (all latest versions) - Core Java, J2EE, Tomcat, JSP, JavaScript, Maven, Spring Technologies.
- OS: Linux, Shell, Shell scripting and shell commands.
- Hands-on with JQL and CQLs.
- DevOps tools (GitLab, Jenkins, Bitbucket, UCD).
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- 10 years of experience in Atlassian administration and system management.
- Atlassian/AWS certifications (preferred but not required).
