Project Manager Scrum Master

JustinBradley’s client, a prominent leader in mortgage financing, is seeking an experienced Scrum Master to lead and guide development teams in their agile practices and project delivery. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in leading, coaching, and managing Scrum teams, facilitating seamless project execution, and driving alignment with strategic business goals. This role requires a proven track record in fostering collaboration and continuous improvement within cross-functional teams. The Scrum Master will play a key part in ensuring the teams are motivated, productive, and aligned with both short-term milestones and long-term organizational objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and support Scrum teams in agile practices, ensuring effective project delivery and continuous improvement.
• Guide the team on creating, refining, and prioritizing features and user stories to maximize value.
• Balance perspectives from both Scrum Master and Project Manager roles, ensuring alignment between agile processes and project management objectives.
• Oversee the performance of projects or portions of larger programs, ensuring compliance with contract requirements, company policies, and guidelines.
• Manage the entire project lifecycle from design, implementation, and testing, ensuring milestones are met.
• Use program management tools to track project work plans, issues, risks, and dependencies.
• Facilitate status meetings, report project progress, and resolve any issues or risks that may arise.
• Foster a collaborative, growth-oriented environment to help develop the team’s agile capabilities and maturity.
• Proficiency in using JIRA to track and manage agile work.
• Experience with application development, particularly with modeling applications (modeling experience is a plus but not required).
• Strong coaching and mentoring skills to guide the team in agile best practices and improve overall performance.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, balancing competing priorities and driving efficient project execution.
• Excellent planning, organizational, and communication skills, with a strong focus on team collaboration and problem resolution.
• Ability to resolve technical issues and manage project risks effectively.
• Encourage continuous learning and agile improvement within the team.
• Ensure clear and effective communication between stakeholders and the Scrum team.
• Proactively address conflicts within the team and between stakeholders to maintain a healthy work environment.
• Track and analyze agile metrics (velocity, burn-down charts) to identify areas for improvement.
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between team members and stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery of objectives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Technology, or a related field.
• 4-5 years of experience in application development, with a solid understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
• PMI/Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is highly desired but not required.
