You are a growth-minded leader who cares deeply about reliability, scalability, and security of infrastructure, alongside delivering exceptional customer experiences for engineers. You thrive on solving complex challenges, building resilient systems, and enabling scalable architecture that powers business growth.

Justworks is at an inflection point in its evolution, with significant projects underway, including business continuity / disaster recovery and international expansion. We’re seeking a seasoned infrastructure leader to drive reliability and uptime while supporting transformative growth.

This position will report to the VP of Engineering and partner closely with senior Product and Engineering leaders to deliver infrastructure that enables our next stage of growth and innovation.

Your Success Profile What You Will Work On

• Infrastructure Design & Operations :

Oversee the design, delivery, and support of scalable, secure, and reliable product platforms, focusing on uptime and system resilience.

Lead critical initiatives such as transitioning from a single region to multi-region infrastructure, enhancing AWS contingency planning, and driving infrastructure to support international growth.

Collaborate with the cybersecurity team to continuously improve compliance and mitigate risks.

Build and grow a team of top-tier cloud-focused Infrastructure, DevOps, and SRE engineers, fostering a high-performing, collaborative culture.

Work closely with business teams (e.g. Engineering, Product, Finance, Audit, and Legal) to align infrastructure goals with organizational priorities.

Qualifications

15 years of experience in infrastructure and operations management, including multi-data center environments.

Strong background and experience in network design, system design, database administration, and developer support processes.

Proven track record of building and managing a team of world-class infrastructure, DevOps, database reliability, and network engineers.

Experience working in Agile and Continuous Delivery environments.

Demonstrated expertise in compliance and regulatory environments.

Expertise with cloud-native environments (e.g., AWS) and Unix systems.

Proven success in vendor management and budget oversight.

A willingness to embrace experimentation and innovation to drive process and system improvements.

The base wage range for this position based in our New York City Office is targeted at $250,000.00 to $300,000.00 per year.

Actual compensation is based on multiple factors that are unique to each candidate, including and not limited to skill set, level of relevant experience, and specific work location. Salary ranges for positions based in other locations may differ based on the cost of labor in that location.
