What are the responsibilities and job description for the Credit and Collections Analyst position at JVCKenwood USA Corporation?
BASIC PURPOSE AND PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Corporate Credit Manager, Ensures compliance with credit and collection policy and procedures.
oversees collection and reconciliation operations
MAJOR DUTIES:
1. Ensure Accounts are kept current and key performance indices are met
2. Ensure orders are released in accordance with set criteria
3. Perform complex reconciliations
4. Prepare documentation for adjustments and credit preparations
5. Conduct credit reference and trade checks on new and existing accounts.
6. Retrieve information from third-party reporting agencies
7. Provide support to acquire needed information to complete credit files
8. Perform root cause analysis on past due deductions and invoices
9. Ensure that all deductions are disputed within the statute of limitations
10. Interact with various departments to find and resolve open amounts
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
1. 3 years minimum credit experience in managing large, high-maintenance accounts.
2. 3 years' knowledge of Credit/Collections principles and techniques.
3. Possess specific working knowledge of retail trade practices and skills.
4. Organizational skills in order to develop, organize, and control collection and reconciliation programs.
5. Possess experience with Windows-based spreadsheet, word processing, and mainframe computer
operations.
WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
Reporting to the Corporate Credit Manager, interacts with Regional Sales, Order Desk, Accounting, Finance,
Warehouse, and Service representatives to exchange information and resolve account issues. Interact with
customers, Sales Representatives, and Sales Managers to exchange information and resolve account issues.
PROBLEM SOLVING AND DECISION MAKING
Responsible for releasing or holding orders. Resolves shipping, order desk, and sales department errors
affecting dealers, which may result in account discrepancies or disputes.
WORKING CONDITIONS
1. Works in a general office environment.
2. The duties and responsibilities performed normally do not include physical requirements other than the ability
to sit for extended periods of time, exposure to CRT, and the repetitive use of hands.
