Working closely with the SVP of Philanthropy, this position is charged with helping to increase funding from individuals, corporate donors and enriching program support across the agency. In addition, this position will provide logistical lead support and oversight to JVS’ major fundraising events, currently two, in the Spring and the Fall.

While performing the essential functions of this job, the incumbent must be able to do the following: stand for extended periods; sit for extended periods; bend and reach for filing and other job-related functions; climb up and down stairs; bend, stoop, and lift to move and retrieve materials; pull, push, and lift; reach both above and below shoulder height. Specific visual abilities include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to visually inspect work. Manual dexterity to operate computer and other office equipment required.

Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with non-profit fundraising including direct live event management, logistics and production.
- Proven track record raising money, establishing and maintaining good relationship with constituents, including Board Members, donors, honorees and corporate partners.
- Strong conceptual, organizational and computer skills: MS Office 365, Raiser’s Edge, Research Point, Mailchimp, Zoom, Teams and the ability to develop spreadsheets, graphs and flow charts highlighting critical data.
- A professional, positive attitude when dealing with volunteers, honorees and staff.
- Make sound recommendations on potential sponsor involvement opportunities.
- A strong ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Exceptional communication and listening skills.
- Be willing to work evenings and weekends when necessary.
- Outgoing, personable, calm, and poised.
- Organized with great attention to detail.
- Comfortable engaging high-profile executives and young professionals.
- Ability to give and receive constructive feedback that will help in growing professionally.
- Preferred Ed: BA, proficient in English and excellent donor relationship management.
- Work closely with staff, volunteers and event planning committees to develop event plans, determine event goals, facilitate donor engagement and carry through all aspects of event management.
- Event vendor management.
- Manage budget and finances of all events. Stay within budget and ensure oversight and communication regarding budget changes.
- Keep detailed notes and documentation to assist in the planning of future projects.
- Manage event communications, ensuring that any issues, changes that impact the event are documented and addressed to all relevant parties.
- Oversee and create presentations and event recaps. Analyze and present results to establish the success of an event’s objectives and outcomes.
- Ability to manage and execute multiple events simultaneously.
- Manage and track event revenue, sponsorships, Tribute Journal messages/ads, guest list, RSVPs.
- Maximize the efficacy of Raiser’s Edge Blackbaud NXT by developing tools to accurately identify prospects, and move them through the identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship cycle.
- Identify new sources of revenue from existing constituents such as Reoccurring gifts, Employee Giving and Matching Gifts Programs.
- Ability to develop working relationships and collaborate with internal and external partners such as Program Leaders, Marketing and Communications and others.
- Maintain other applications which integrate with Raiser’s Edge, i.e. MailChimp, etc.
- Conducts prospect research utilizing Research Point.
