Under supervision of the Director of JVSWorks and working closely with the Chief Academic Officer, the primary responsibility of the Program Director of ImagingWorks is to provide leadership and management in delivering the ImagingWorks medical imaging career training program in a high-quality fashion that achieves desired outcomes. Outcomes include enrollment, classroom and clinical participation and performance, completion rates, positive feedback from participants and employers, and compliance with all JVS SoCal and regulatory body standards and requirements. The qualified individual will also assume the leadership of the MRI program and oversee its success.

While performing the essential functions of this job, the incumbent must be able to do the following: stand for extended periods; sit for extended periods; bend and reach for filing and other job-related functions; climb up and down stairs; bend, stoop, and lift to move and retrieve materials; pull, push, and lift; reach both above and below shoulder height. Manual dexterity to operate computers and other office equipment required. Hold a current driver’s license and be able to drive. ImagingWorks is a new job training program offered by JVS SoCal. It is an entry-level medical imaging program lasting approximately 11 weeks. ImagingWorks puts people on the path to promising medical imaging careers. In partnership with RadNet, we support ImagingWorks students at eight to twelve (8-12) clinical sites across Southern California, where students will be able to earn a wage while learning and gaining credits towards a statewide credential.

Requirements
- Minimum BS degree and three years of experience as a radiologic technologist or MRI technologist
- Master’s degree or higher is preferred, however the ideal candidate will be given three years from the date of hire to earn a master’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- Current Radiologic Technology license
- At least three (3) to five (5) years of supervisory/managerial experience
- Current ARMRIT certification is required, with five years of experience as an MRI technologist.
- Teaching experience using both synchronous and asynchronous technologies is required.
- Must be proficient in curriculum design, program administration, evaluation, instruction and academic advising.
- Group/classroom training experience in higher education is required.
- Knowledge of hospital and healthcare industry is required.
- Must be able to work effectively with a diverse student population, including low- to moderate-income individuals facing barriers to employment
- Technologically adept with computers, Microsoft applications, and online learning management systems (LMS)
- Experience with customer relationship management software (Salesforce) preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to interact effectively and collaboratively with program participants, JVS staff, employers, and community partners
- Must model appropriate behavior (communication, punctuality, etc.)
- Instruct online and in-person ImagingWorks classes per schedule
- Participate in academic planning and develop plans for individual modalities
- Adjust curriculum/courses/instructional plans as required to meet program needs
- Oversees, adjusts, and monitors admission criteria and maintain evaluation methodology for students
- Participate in scheduled visits to clinical sites to visit students, check up on their progress, and make any adjustments as necessary to the clinical schedules
- Participates and directs ARMRIT and institutional accreditation actions such as self-studies and site visits.
- Participates in regularly scheduled clinical advisory meetings to inform clinical educators of changing policies, assess student progress, review clinical objectives and to discuss concerns of the clinical instructor staff
- Using suitable observation and communication skills, identify participants in need of support and provide them with appropriate coaching, guidance, and/or referrals for supportive services.
- Evaluate capital requirements within respective program and build a rationale for any requested equipment purchases
- Represent the school externally to key stakeholders, e.g., Employers, Partners, Department of Education, Regulatory Boards, etc.
- Ensure teaching / instructional training is attended by program instructors and coordinators through scheduling, and preparation of handouts and other media necessary for class instruction
- Oversees the review of all clinical records; including competencies and procedure logs; and assures appropriate documentation is current and on file for each student
- Ensure pass rates on licensure exams meet minimum accrediting standards for their modality
- Ensure all personnel and contractors adhere to safety, technical, and health policies in compliance with company policies and government regulations
- Monitor employers and graduates to assess success and provide job retention coaching, as needed
- Ensure complete and accurate class rosters, attendance, drop sheets, and graduation information
- Ensure 100% compliance with Employment Training Panel (ETP) requirements
- Engage in regular contact with AJCC regarding co-enrolled participants
- Process, complete, and submit all required paperwork within the scope of authority and expertise
- Participate with staff in recruitment, orientation, screening, testing, and assessment activities and the selection of qualified program participants
- Make formal and informal presentations to internal and external groups when necessary
- Keep positive and professional relationships with students, employers, partners, vendors and staff
- Coordinates and completes performance evaluations of faculty and MRI related staff
- Perform related duties as assigned by the Chief Academic Officer, Chief Program Officer, Director of JVSWorks, and JVS SoCal Senior Leadership
