Description
The Receptionist / Customer Flow / Intake Specialist is a vital, customer-facing role within the Los Angeles - America's Job Center of California serving as the key member of the Welcome Team. This individual is enthusiastic, personable, and dedicated to providing exceptional service, while also supporting client intake and assessment processes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Welcome and greet individuals coming into the lobby, providing assistance to a diverse range of clients from varying work histories.
- Understand and communicate the programs available at the America's Job Center of California and guide job seekers in utilizing the resource center effectively.
- Direct customers to appropriate staff members for appointments and provide accurate information for inquiries about center services.
- Maintain a monthly calendar of activities and conference room reservations, ensuring proper setup.
- Answer, screen, and forward phone calls while exploring ways to continuously improve customer service.
- Conduct follow-up with past participants via email, phone calls, or text.
- Collaborate effectively with different programs and managers to ensure the center's success.
- Track and report center traffic data to the Program Manager.
- Facilitate client intake by meeting and greeting new and returning customers, identifying their needs, and directing them to the next steps.
- Provide comprehensive information about center services, including accessibility, referrals, and processes.
- Conduct individual and group intake sessions, as well as offsite and specialty intake events for job seekers.
- Input and manage data for document retrieval, maintain accurate records of client enrollments, and verify right-to-work documentation.
- Utilize CalJOBS and other data systems for participant enrollment and report generation.
Requirements
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Will work in an office environment, travel to employer and client work sites. May be required to work some evenings and an occasional weekend day. Must be able to operate standard office equipment. Requires traveling to various business and other work sites.
Salary Description
20 to $21 per hour
