LOGISTICS ENGINEER

Description

*Hybrid Position

• Design and analyze solutions for projects such as transportation optimization, network modeling, process and method analysis, cost containment, capacity enhancement, routing, and shipment optimization, as well as information management.
• Review customer standards including contractual commitments, specifications, and other specific details.
• Develop logistic solutions to help land and grow customer business.
• Evaluate processes, determine future states and be data driven (both internally and customer facing).
• Develop and maintain cost estimates, forecasts, and cost models.
• Apply logistics modeling techniques to address issues that disrupt or raise costs.
• Provide logistic facility and capacity planning for distribution and transportation.

Qualifications

Education/Licensing Requirements: Education: Bachelor’s Degree

Experience Requirements: 3 or more years in distribution, logistics, or transportation

• Ability to analyze customers and provide data to create initial delivery route
• Customer management (contractual commitments, KPIs, SOPs)
• Solution design (Facility, staffing, safety, maintenance, engineering, transportation, warehousing)
• Develop and maintain cost models, estimates, and forecasts
• Create analytical reports - very strong analytical skills
• Computer literate: Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, & Outlook
• Ability to make business decisions individually and as a team
• Delegate tasks and be a multi-disciplinary team player
• Strong communication skills (written & verbal)
• Prioritization and multitasking
• Time management
• Flexible to change

Background Preferred (but not required):

• ISM or APICS certified
• Advance Degree- MBA

Salary : $80,000 - $85,000
