This position is a part time position with varying hours including 1st and 2nd shift availability. Weekend availability is required. This position is eligible for DailyPay, 401K, paid vacation, free downtown parking, free employee meals, hotel and restaurant discounts and more.
SUMMARY
Serving guests at the spa desk/reception area while providing the highest level of service possible in an efficient, courteous and professional manner by following JW Marriott and Amway Grand Plaza standards of aggressive hospitality and adhering to guidelines and procedures.
PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS
- Report to work on time, in proper and clean uniform, including name tag. Personal appearance and grooming must conform to standards.
- Handle all duties according to hotel policies, procedures, internal rules and standards. Conform to cash handling procedures at all times.
- Be knowledgeable about daily spa operations, check spa schedule, check daily event sheet, bulletin boards and be up to date with all appointments, changes, new procedures and events.
- Have knowledge about all spa services and promotions.
- Have knowledge about guest rooms, locations, amenities, features and all other services offered by the hotel.
- Follow all cash handling and banking procedures to check out all customers efficiently.
- Each associate is expected to carry out all reasonable requests by management which the associate is capable of performing.
- Operate Spa-Booker and Point of sale systems; know how to make a spa appointment in Spa-Booker and how to check out an appointment in Spa-Booker and point of sale.
- Perform guest check-in and check-out procedures and accommodate special requests of all customers.
- Know how to follow all hospitality guidelines.
- Answer the phones according to the standards of proper etiquette and as fast as possible (no more than three rings). Return any messages promptly (same day) and on a confidential basis.
- Ensure the cleanliness of the spa reception area and treatment rooms at all times. Utilize spare time for cleaning. Keep computer equipment clean at all times.
- Assist all guests in problems and questions as required. Ensure that all guest problems are resolved by using the "Guest Response Program" procedures.
- Assist fellow associates in their jobs to ensure that all jobs are done on time.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent preferred- Previous concierge and cash handling experience preferred
- Must be a team player
- Enjoying working with people, and possess a friendly & outgoing personality
- Must have enthusiasm and possess excellent customer service skills
- Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours
