Job Summary

To provide an accurate and conscientious inventory of items used, and to restock these items quickly and efficiently. To keep mini refrigerators clean, orderly and in proper working condition, in keeping with Marriott standards. To check mini bars quickly and accurately. To ensure that the guest is charged precisely and without delay or error.

Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the manager; and complete safety training and certifications. Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests’ service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation. Speak with others using clear and professional language. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, support team to reach common goals, and listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees. Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards. Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

Job Specific Tasks

Report to work on time, well-groomed and, in uniform.

Responsible for a standardized mini bar set up by room type.

Responsible for the administration of all consumed mini bar items.

Have a working knowledge of Point-of-Sale (POS) systems.

Participate in daily, weekly, monthly training programs conducted by management

or peers.

Play an active and supportive roll in guest response and total quality management

process. Conduct guest interactions in a hospitable, tactful, sensitive manner.

Maintain mini bar area in an orderly, organized way and comply with Aclean as you

go policy.

Follow safety procedures and policies to ensure a safe working environment.

Honor all reasonable requests made by immediate supervisor.

Pick up room service trays from guest rooms and guest corridors, as well as assist

the room service department when necessary and asked to do so by the room

service manager or supervisor.

Play an active role in continuous improvement of food and beverage displays in

guest rooms.

Be able to answer frequently asked questions by guests, e.g., directions in the hotel, hours of

service or other amenity information.
