Examples of Duties (includes but is not limited to the following):
- Walk property at regular intervals (daily) to ensure that the property is clean and orderly and in good maintenance condition
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
- Schedule maintenance of equipment to ensure performance rates and quality meet established specifications
- Ensure that all work orders are completed in a timely manner and up to hotel standards
- Conduct preventative maintenance throughout hotel including guest rooms, public spaces, kitchen, restaurant, storage, and office areas
- Identify safety problems applicable to the repair and maintenance of systems and take necessary corrective action
- Assist other departments within the property as needed
- Perform additional duties and projects as assigned
Position Requirements:
- Ability to speak, read, write and understand English
- Professional demeanor appropriate for a luxury environment
- Strong painting skills
- Knowledge and use of all procedures and safety techniques
- Ability to take direction, questions, and instructions from supervisor, management and co-workers
- Knowledge, understanding, and compliance of policies and procedures, daily memorandums, chemical labels, and other instructions
Education:
- High school education or equivalent required
- Trade apprenticeship preferred
Typical Physical / Mental Demands:
- Must be able to stand, walk, sit, bend for prolonged periods of time
- Must be able to bend, stoop, crouch
- Must use hands to reach, grasp, handle, pull and push
- Must have good near and far vision
- Must be able to hear, talk, smell
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors, being exposed to environmental factors such as seasonal heat, cold, noise, dust, and pollution
