Our client, a global commodities trading firm is currently seeking an HRBP / Human Capital / People Lead to be based in their Stamford, CT office and serve as the go-to person for all U.S. business leaders and employees. This individual will handle both the day-to-day HR tasks as well as big-picture planning and strategic projects to help build a strong, inclusive, and high-performing workplace.
This role reports directly into the Chief People Officer (based in London) and oversees and supports a TX-based People Analyst, helping them grow in their role. The firm functions on a hybrid schedule with 3-4 days in the office per week.
This individual will manage all aspects of HR in the U.S., including benefits, pay, performance management, employee relations, and workplace culture—while also working with the larger, global team to develop and implement strategies for hiring, retention, and leadership planning.
Requirements:
- 7-10 years of experience in Human Resources, People Operations, or Talent Management within Financial Services with a preference for candidates who have commodity sector knowledge and/or experience in post-acquisition environments at mid-sized firms.
- Direct experience supporting and advising C-suite executives and managing relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Skilled in Advanced Excel, data analysis, and ATS systems, with the ability to analyze complex data and support decision-making.
- Proven track record of leading and implementing strategic HR initiatives.
- Ensuring compliance with employment and immigration laws at the federal, state, and local levels.
- Open to domestic and international travel for 2-3 months per year.
