Certification Details BLS Job Details 7W Stepdown - 22 Typical MedSurg population. Chest Pain, COPD, AMS, Pneumonia, UTI, Abdominal Pain, Overflow for most services, hospice (will 'flip' patients to GIP Hospice on 7 West) 32 Total Beds (12 are Stepdown & 20 are 'Floor') Ratios : 1 : 3 for Stepdown, 1 : 4-6 for 'Floor' Charge Nurse / House Supervisor is always available RN's must be able to read strips in conjunction with the telemetry monitor techs that continuously monitor strips Job Requirements BLS Can only submit to 1 position at a time across the entire WVU system Drivers license address must be outside 50 miles from the facility Previous perm candidates must be gone for 2 years Previous travelers there for 1 full year must be gone for 2 years Individual unit requirements listed in pulse apply Travel teams must be submitted together in 1 email We are only permitted to submit 2 candidates per opening, if the position is at max, we will hold on to the submission if a spot opens up Schedule Information 7a-7 : 30p; 7p-7 : 30a 2 Weekends per schedule Work into the perm staff holiday schedule Can be pulled to any floor or stepdown unit Unit Specific Information Unit : 7 WEST (Stepdown & Floor) Common titratable & / or set rate drips : Yes - Drips in Stepdown, floor only gets PCAs, heparin, etc. Scrub Color / Dress code : Royal Blue Unit / Department specific orientation : Unknown Additional Details COVID VACCINE REQUIRED : Fully vaccinated means either 2 shots of Moderna or Pfizer or 1 shot of J&J; If a traveler wants to decline based on a Medical or Religious reason, please have them fill out the appropriate Exemption Form and email it to the address on the form.
