Responsibilities
As a software engineer at J.W. Speaker, you'll be working side by side with our experienced engineering team. Expect to tackle programming problems dealing with embedded systems and firmware, including helping write code for our new products. You'll have the opportunity to work on lights that are changing the industry!
Qualifications
- Must be working towards a software engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or electrical engineering degree at an accredited college or university
- Junior/Senior standing preferred
- Basic understanding of embedded systems, microcontrollers (MCUs) and microelectronics
- Knowledge of "C" programming language
- Able to understand electrical schematics
- Familiarity with electronic equipment such as DC power supplies, multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.
Hiring Process
The Campus Recruiting team reviews resumes on a rolling basis. The internship hiring process consists of two interviews. Typically, the first interview is conducted at your college or university campus or over the phone. The second interview is at the J.W. Speaker corporate headquarters in Germantown, WI. All candidates will be notified of hiring decisions via e-mail or phone and validated with a formal offer letter.
Education
