-Operate a forklift to move, stack, and organize products and materials within a warehouse or distribution center
- Perform daily maintenance checks on the forklift and report any issues or malfunctions
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
- Collaborate with warehouse management to optimize inventory placement and organization
- Assist with shipping and receiving tasks as needed, including loading and unloading trucks
-Moves material in and out of storage locations accurately and without damage to any product.
-Moves materials from staging and/or storage areas into rail cars, trailers and/or other transport vehicles.
-Stacks and stages materials.
-Pulls and prepares materials for shipment.
-Operates all equipment in a safe and efficient manner per company policies.
-Keeps well-organized records and reports.
-Ensures proper stock rotation.
-Maintains clean, neat and orderly work area.
-Complies with all safety rules.
-Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
Experience:
- Previous experience as a forklift operator is a must
- Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts, such as order pickers and cherry pickers
- Strong mechanical knowledge to perform basic maintenance checks on the forklift
-Ability to handle heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks
- Basic math skills to accurately count and track inventory
- Experience using pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment is a plus
