JWB Family Law is a well-established Family Law firm located in downtown San Diego. We are seeking a full-time Law Clerk. The position is an in-office only position. The successful candidate must be detail oriented with strong writing and verbal communication. To be successful you should be reliable, tenacious, perceptive, and a fun colleague. The Law Clerk will assist Associate and Senior Attorneys with managing a diverse portfolio of Family Law cases. The Law Clerk’s responsibilities include:
· Meeting with Senior Attorneys to ascertain client needs and providing legal recommendations to Senior Attorneys.
· Regularly provide clerical, office administrative assistance and interact with clients. In this role, you will be required to collaborate with and report to Senior Attorneys.
· Conduct legal research using case law, legislation, and other legal texts.
· Provide a Limited Scope of drafting legal documents, including Petitions, Responses, Request for Orders, Trial Briefs, Points & Authorities, etc.
· Ensure all communication with clients remains confidential and are stored securely.
· Bill appropriately for all tasks salient to each case.
· Work effectively with Associate and Senior Attorneys as well as paralegal and administrative staff.
· Strong follow-up skills in regard to ensuring assignments are timely completed.
Requirements:

Strong, clear and concise communication skills.
Ability to apply standard administrative office practices and procedures, including recordkeeping systems and file maintenance.
Bachelor's degree and Juris Doctor degree.
Candidate must have taken the California Bar and be awaiting the results.
