Automotive and Garage Equipment Field Service Technician
JWT Equipment Specialists sells, services, and installs all types of automotive service equipment. Our diverse offerings include waste oil heating systems, automotive vehicle lifts, lubricant storage and handling equipment, wheel service equipment, alignment systems, lube equipment, compressed air systems, pressure washing, shop ventilation, large diameter fans, tire and parts storage racking, toolboxes and more.
JWT Equipment Specialists is a one call solution for automotive service facilities for equipment and supply needs. Our team works hard to deliver great products and fast service to keep shops running safely and smoothly.
Most technicians dispatch from home in a company owned service truck. JWTES provides service in Eastern Pa, Southern Tier and Hudson Valley NY, All of NJ and DE as well as northern Maryland.
Normal work hours are Monday through Friday. Generally, there aren’t any Saturdays or on-call.
JWTES will provide on-the job training, so experience is not necessary.
Service technicians will experience a diverse work environment where you will encounter many types of equipment requiring service, repair, maintenance, or installation.
We are seeking a dependable, adaptable self-starter, who is as comfortable taking direction as they are making decisions on their own.
While not required, experience or basic understanding in the following area(s) is beneficial:
- Equipment Maintenance
- Plumbing
- Electrical
- Hydraulics
- HVAC
- Basic hand and power tools
- Automotive
- Scissor lift, forklift, crane truck and bucket truck
Other Job Responsibilities are:
- Perform maintenance on equipment including small equipment repair, minor plumbing, HVAC, and electrical work.
- Responds to equipment emergency situations.
- Maintains work site, equipment, and supplies in good working order.
- Maintains work service truck in good working order.
- Complies with company policies and procedures giving special attention to safety regulations.
- Receives and completes work orders and instructions from service manager
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily: read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. An individual should have knowledge of basic computer skills, High School diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license.
If you can use a multi-meter and a set of wrenches, we would like to talk with you. This is the perfect job for someone who can problem solve, troubleshoot and enjoys working with tools.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
