What are the responsibilities and job description for the Body Shop Technician position at JX Enterprises Careers?
Under the direction of the Body Shop Manager / Service Manager, the Body Shop Technician performs major repairs from start to finish on damaged vehicles, including mechanical repairs, body panel replacement or repair, refinishing of repaired areas and prep for delivery to customer.
Pay: $22.00 to $33.00/hour depending on experience
Shift: Monday - Friday 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Repair mechanical and truck body damage.
- Prepare truck for customer presentation and delivery.
- At times may assist with mechanical repairs, painting and maintenance work on Heavy Duty Trucks.
- At times help out with installation of mechanical components.
- All other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required, additional trade school training preferred.
- Two (2) years of related truck or body shop repair experience preferred.
- Mechanical and refinishing knowledge required.
- Valid driver’s license required; CDL required, or ability to obtain.
- Dependable and reliable attendance required.
