Job Purpose:
We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Parts Counter Representative to be the face of our company. The ideal candidate will not only possess a strong technical understanding of diesel engines but will also embrace and promote our core values in every customer interaction. As a Parts Counter
Representative, you play a pivotal role in ensuring our customers receive accurate and timely assistance in obtaining the right parts for their diesel equipment. With a dedication to honoring commitments, creating positive experiences, fostering lifelong learning, exhibiting a pioneering spirit, and demonstrating good stewardship, you will contribute to our mission of providing top-notch service to our customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Honor Commitments:
- Delivering exceptional customer service by greeting customers, assisting in parts selection, answering questions, providing price quotes, and informing customers of companion part requirements and specials in-person and over the phone.
Create Positive Experiences:
- Keeping customers informed on the status of special order and back-ordered parts, and handling customer returns in a professional and courteous manner.
Foster Lifelong Learning:
- Assisting mechanics with acquiring parts, locating and securing parts from various vendors for shop jobs, and staying updated on industry trends and new products.
Exhibit Pioneering Spirit:
- Taking initiative to improve processes, enhance customer experiences, and contribute to the overall success of the parts department.
Demonstrate Good Stewardship:
- Helping to control and maintain inventory, ensuring accuracy in orders and stock levels, and minimizing waste and loss.
Other Duties as assigned:
- Adapt to the evolving needs of the organization and undertake additional responsibilities as required, reflecting our commitment to flexibility and responsiveness in meeting business objectives.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Less than 1 year of counter experience
- No training completed
- No Business system experience
- Limited customer experience
- High School or equivalent
- Previous customer service experience
- Automotive or truck parts related experience a plus
