We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Receptionist/Kennel Technician to join our team. This role is essential in providing high-quality care for animals in our facility. As a Kennel Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our furry guests while maintaining a clean and safe environment.
Duties
- Receptionist duties, taking care of clients, answering phones, making reservations and taking payments.
- Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, grooming, and exercising.
- Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to management.
- Maintain cleanliness of kennels and common areas to ensure a hygienic environment.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' needs and any pertinent information.
- Utilize strong phone etiquette when answering inquiries from clients and scheduling appointments.
- Support the team with time management to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently.
Requirements
- Previous experience in animal care or veterinary settings is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with clients.
- Proficient in clerical tasks including filing and proofreading documents.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple responsibilities effectively.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
- Familiarity with office management practices is a plus.
- Must be able to lift and handle animals of various sizes safely.
