Role Expectations:
- Lead multiple concurrent projects including distribution design and studies projects across the organization
- Coordinate and lead project kick-offs and development of a project team to evaluate, refine and clarify project scope
- Coordinate with Engineering leads to ensure project team members understand their respective responsibilities and lead team to completion of assigned tasks
- Provide leadership, guidance and support in the area of scope definition, cost management, schedule development, change management, meeting design basis criteria, risk identification and risk management
- Provide overall management of projects from concept thru the development phase for all distribution projects
- Work with technical teams to understand interdependencies of projects and establish an overall project timeline
- Maintain detailed project financials with support from financial teams
- Maintain detailed project schedule with support from project scheduling team
- Implement a project management lifecycle process to document and execute projects in a consistent, standardized fashion
- Serve as project point of contact with Owner regarding efforts such as client coordination, strategic planning, scope management, and budgeting
What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Management, Construction Management or related degrees.
- 5 years relevant project management experience in electric utility projects is required
- Relevant experience in distribution design and studies
- Knowledge and experience with project management processes and tools.
- Experience managing multiple projects at once with fast pace turnarounds
- Proficiency with financial analysis tools in a utility setting
- Excellent leadership and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively with competing priorities and stressful situations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
