We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Project Manager to join our team at K&A Engineering in Charlotte, North Carolina. Role Expectations:
- Manage multiple Transmission projects, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget throughout the lifecycle
- Lead and coordinate project teams, driving project execution with a focus on delivering high-quality results
- Conduct regular site visits, walking through rough and uneven terrain as needed
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to resolve project issues and mitigate risks
- Develop, maintain, and track project schedules and budgets; perform cost controls and ensure timely project delivery
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, from team members to senior leadership
- Identify and manage project risks, employing critical thinking and problem-solving to overcome challenges
- Prepare and present regular project updates to management and other stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with company standards, safety regulations, and project management best practices
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Engineering Management, Construction Management or related field from an accredited college or university required.
- 3 years’ experience of Project Management experience focused on transmission line projects (Engineering, procurement and construction phases)
- Strong knowledge in project management, project controls and/or engineering
- Basic understanding of design and engineering process, how to run design review meetings and obtain and track feedback from the stakeholders
- Excellent leadership and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
- This is a hybrid role and candidates must be able to report to our Charlotte location 3 days per week
