Position Overview
We are seeking a Technical Parts Specialist to lead the development, coordination, and execution of spare parts programs across various divisions. This role combines technical expertise, strategic planning, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure efficient spare parts management. The Specialist will be key in managing parts throughout the product lifecycle, from hardware / software compatibility to end-of-life processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate Across Teams : Work with equipment divisions and external suppliers to manage comprehensive spare parts lists, establish lifecycle criteria, and recommend optimized spare parts kits.
- Product Lifecycle Support : Assist in managing parts requirements for product launches, last-time buys, and end-of-life schedules.
- Ensure Compatibility : Develop processes to ensure seamless hardware and software compatibility for both new and legacy products.
- ECN Handling : Manage parts-related Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) to align with product changes and specifications.
- Spare Parts Program Development : Support the creation and maintenance of spare parts programs, including refurbishment and response locations, to meet customer and contract needs.
- Field Data Analysis : Analyze trends in incidents and failures to identify potential parts requirements based on equipment aging and failure modes.
- Parts List Management : Create and maintain parts matrices, ensuring they align with customer and product specifications.
- Packaging Coordination : Work with engineers and external partners to develop packaging specifications and communicate with warehouse teams.
- Support Sales & Field Teams : Provide materials for equipment bids, replacement parts, field refits, and warranty / recall efforts.
- Division Goals : Collaborate with internal teams to achieve divisional objectives and uphold a professional image.
