Key Responsibilities:
- Perform X-ray procedures according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Operate and maintain X-ray equipment, performing routine calibrations and troubleshooting as needed.
- Follow safety procedures to minimize radiation exposure to patients, self, and staff.
- Review and evaluate images for technical quality, and ensure images are properly documented and filed.
- Provide clear instructions to patients, ensuring they understand the procedure and are comfortable throughout.
- Maintain accurate records of procedures, patient information, and equipment usage.
- Assist with patient preparation and provide support during and after imaging procedures.
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to support patient care and diagnostic accuracy.
Requirements:
- Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Valid certification as an X-Ray Technologist (e.g., ARRT) and state licensure as required.
- 1 year of experience as an X-Ray Technologist preferred, but will accept new graduates.
