Job Description
In this critical role, you will be responsible for performing a range of tasks including conducting X-ray procedures, positioning patients accurately, and operating and maintaining X-ray equipment. Additionally, you will review and evaluate images for technical quality, ensure proper documentation and filing, and provide clear instructions to patients. Your expertise will also be utilized to maintain accurate records of procedures, patient information, and equipment usage, assist with patient preparation, and collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to support patient care and diagnostic accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform X-ray procedures according to established protocols and physician orders
• Position patients accurately and ensure proper alignment to obtain high-quality images
• Operate and maintain X-ray equipment, performing routine calibrations and troubleshooting as needed
• Review and evaluate images for technical quality, and ensure images are properly documented and filed
• Provide clear instructions to patients, ensuring they understand the procedure and are comfortable throughout
• Maintain accurate records of procedures, patient information, and equipment usage
• Assist with patient preparation and provide support during and after imaging procedures
• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to support patient care and diagnostic accuracy.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must possess an Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field; a Bachelor's degree is preferred. Additionally, you should have valid certification as an X-Ray Technologist (e.g., ARRT) and state licensure as required. One year of experience as an X-Ray Technologist is preferred but not necessary; new graduates are welcome to apply.
