Position : Laboratory Supervisor, General
Location : Reading, Pennsylvania
Type : Permanent and Full-Time Direct Hire
Shift / Schedule : Day Shift
Duties :
- Supervision & Coordination : Directs and supervises technical functions, manages activities in assigned areas.
- Personnel Management : Prepares work schedules, assigns tasks, evaluates performance, and recommends personnel actions.
- Training : Trains employees on daily procedures.
- Budget & Goals : Assists in budget development and setting department goals and objectives.
- Analysis & Research : Conducts surveys, comparative analyses, and may participate in research; investigates and recommends new products, equipment, and methodologies.
- Consultation : Consults with medical staff and healthcare providers on laboratory-related services.
- Quality & Projects : Participates in quality assessments and various department / system-wide projects.
- Medical Technologist Duties : Performs tests and procedures as part of regular duties.
Requirements : BS degree, ASCP certification or equivalent upon hire, and prior experience as a Medical Technologist .
