Overview
K. Bellavance is looking for a ground laborer to join our team located in Barre Vt.
The laborer will perform a variety of manual tasks, including site preparation, loading / unloading materials and assisting excavator operators. The ground laborer requires a strong work ethic, physical stamina and a commitment to safety.
Responsibilities
- Clean and prepare sites by removing debris, clearing obstructions and ensuring a safe working environment
- Load, unload and transport materials and equipment.
- Assist in digging trenches, backfilling holes
- Adhere to all safety, regulations, procedures, and protocols, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment ( PPE) at all times
- Perform other duties as assigned, including tasks such as sweeping, cleaning, and organizing the work area
- Ability to perform physical demanding tasks for extended periods of time
- Ability to arrive on time and work diligently
- Ability to work with others in a team environment
- Ability to follow instructions and learn new tasks quickly
- Previous experience in construction or labor work preferred
- Valid driver license required
- Pay based on experience
Experience
- Previous experience in construction or labor-intensive roles is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with basic construction tools and equipment is a plus.
- Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).
- A commitment to safety practices on the job site.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
