What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Development Proposal Capture Analyst position at K Corp?
We seek an experienced and skilled Business Development Proposal Capture Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying and capturing new business opportunities. You will work with the business development and proposal departments assisting in the day-to-day duties as well as researching new opportunities.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Identify and qualify new business opportunities through market research, competitive analysis, customer engagement, and 3rd party market intelligence tools
- Researches and gains thorough knowledge of corporate capabilities including current customers, agencies, and contracts.
- Assist in identification of opportunities for pursuit by monitoring government forecasts, utilizing business development tools, and meeting with teammates.
- Conduct opportunity analysis to include:
- Capabilities assessments.
- Analysis of draft/previous/and current requests for proposals (RFPs) and statements of work (SOWs).
- Analysis and submission of sources soughts, requests for information (RFIs), and/or market surveys.
- Analysis of incumbent and historical contracts.
- Assist in compiling pursuit recommendations and justifications.
- Coordinate and drive all phases of capture activities and strategy execution
- Assist in gate reviews or bid/no bid decisions
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop innovative solutions that meet customer needs and differentiate our company from competitors
- Work closely with the business development team to develop and implement capture plans that maximize the chances of winning new business
- Fully support the proposal development process, including strategy, themes, solutions, writing, schedules, staffing, pricing, past performance, resumes, and other proposal actions
- Ensure the capture team's strategy, themes, solution, and discriminators are reflected in the proposal
- Manage the proposal development process, including scheduling, team coordination, and quality control
- Other duties as assigned or required
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Proficient in written and oral communication skills according to skill requirements
- Strong writing skills to include the development of content incorporating key win themes in a clear and concise manner
- Possess strong computer skills, able to read, write, and comprehend written instructional documents
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Professional Suite (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.).
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including verbal and presentation skills to individuals and groups, internally and externally.
- Experience with SharePoint
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- 1 year of government, business development, and/or capture/proposal management experiencerequired
Special Qualifications/Requirements:
- Must be able to successfully pass, as required, a federal, state, or local government background
