Interior Designer (Mid-Level, 8-10 Years Experience, NCIDQ Required)

K Dixon Architecture (KDA) is seeking a talented and experienced Interior Designer to join our growing team. This role offers the opportunity to lead design efforts on diverse projects in higher education, science & technology, healthcare, commercial, civic, and government sectors. The ideal candidate will be involved in all phases of the design process , from programming and concept development to construction documentation and administration.
Responsibilities :
- Lead and contribute to multiple interior design projects, ensuring high-quality design solutions.
- Work closely with clients, architects, engineers, and consultants to develop cohesive, innovative designs .
- Develop space planning, material selections, and interior details aligned with project goals and client expectations.
- Prepare and oversee construction documents, specifications, and FF&E packages .
- Assist in construction administration by reviewing submittals, coordinating with contractors, and conducting site visits.
- Stay informed on industry trends, building codes, and sustainability practices .
- Present design concepts to clients, guiding discussions to align with project vision and budget.
- Collaborate with junior designers, providing mentorship and feedback.
