What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chief Estimator position at K E & G Construction, Inc.?

Chief Estimator Duties (Include but are not limited to) :
- Leading, managing, and mentoring a team of estimators
- Assist divisions in assessing bid opportunities
- Innovative and creative approach to building projects
- Risk analysis
- Coordinate estimate development with the project team
- Conduct bid review and ensure estimate productivity and accuracy goals are met
- Participate in pre-bid meetings and site tours as needed
- Coordinate Quantity Take-Offs
- Prepare and submit estimates in compliance with contract documents
- Complete understanding of the plans, specs and scope of work
- Maintain HCSS Heavy Bid and Heavy Job Systems
- Mentor and Supervise Project Estimators with :
RFP’s to subs and vendors
