Job Summary:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.
· Able to read CAD drawings and assemble tops and other projects
· Use orbital sanders and routers to sand and shape solid surface countertop materials
· Attach and install undermount and integrated sinks into countertops and drill holes as needed
· Accurately read and understand shop drawings and job specific paperwork
· Verify quality of finished countertops by inspecting, measuring and comparing them to templates and/or shop drawings
· Use tape measure to accurately measure and mark work
· Review and confirm the proper edge profile as identified for each component
· Advise the Shop Foreman of any missing and/or defective items
· Communicate job progress when transitioning between shifts.
· At the end of the day and at various times throughout the day, clean work areas to ensure cleanliness and safe working conditions are maintained
· Perform minor maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure safe and effective operation
· Follow all Company Policies & Procedures and adhere to all OSHA protocols
· Assist with various other duties as needed.

· Possess a great attention to detail.
· Ability to read, understand and follow shop drawings in English
· Time management and ability to multi-task
· Ability to follow instructions, read paperwork and communicate with others to complete tasks.
· Aptitude for problem solving while working in a fast-paced environment.
· Ability to take measurements and make cuts within 1/32” tolerance
· Perform basic calculations.
· Ability to work independently with little supervision.
· Be safety conscious and have an ability to safely work around heavy materials and machinery
· Commit to arriving to work on time each day and retain communication with the Shop Foreman
· Have a positive attitude, possess a strong work ethic and have a desire to work with and help others achieve our production goals.
Education and/or Experience
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Carpentry, cabinet making and/or woodworking experience
· Ability to use clamps, sanders, glue guns, routers, table saw, panel saw, hand tools, etc.
· Knowledge of various fastener types, adhesives, and sanding techniques
· Experience working with hand tools and possess manual dexterity.
· Ability to read construction shop drawings/blueprints.
· 6 months to 1 year of experience in countertop industry OR possess a strong desire to learn

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may occasionally be exposed to airborne particles and moderate to high noise levels while in the shop. Safety equipment is provided for employees that will be in these areas. In addition, the employee will be standing for long periods of time and must be able to handle hot and cold temperature changes.
