What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shop Helper position at K&H Truckweld Inc.?

This is an entry-level opportunity with on-the-job training and potential for growth. Manufacturing experience is preferred, but not required. A high school diploma or equivalent is needed. You must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and have a clean driving record. Must be an effective communicator, organized, and have an eagerness to learn our product and help keep production moving. Our ideal candidate for this job is someone who is looking to grow with our company, a team player, and is going to show up every day ready to give 110%. Responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Bring in material for appropriate stations in shop.
- :Maintain and clean shop floor, outside yard and in the office as needed.
- Help fabricators in stations with fit-up as needed.
- Transport dump bodies to have them painted.
- Drive to pick up parts and company errands as needed.
- Offload any materials or parts with forklift and put away in appropriate locations on shop floor.
- Help shear and plasma small parts as needed for the shop floor.
- Help load finished dump bodies with overhead crane and organize outside in yard as needed.
- Forklift experience is a plus, but not required.
- Press brake/hydraulic shear/plasma experience is a plus - but not required.
- Must be able to work Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm.
- .Must be able to pull up to 30' trailer safely.
- Must be able to work overtime to meet production needs.
- Must be safety oriented.
- Must have a clean driving record.
