Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Dog Daycare Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing a safe, fun, and engaging environment for dogs in our daycare facility. You will interact with dogs of various breeds and temperaments, ensuring their well-being and happiness throughout the day. This position requires a love for animals, strong communication skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Duties
- Supervise and engage with dogs during playtime to ensure safety and proper behavior.
- Feed and provide fresh water to dogs according to their individual needs.
- Maintain cleanliness of the daycare area, including kennels, play areas, and equipment.
- Monitor the health and behavior of dogs, reporting any concerns to management.
- Assist with administering medications as needed under supervision.
- Provide basic training and reinforcement of good behavior during playtime.
- Perform heavy lifting when necessary for cleaning or moving equipment.
- Ensure proper animal restraint techniques are used when handling dogs.
Skills
- Experience as a Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary Technician is a plus.
- Knowledge of animal care practices including pet sitting and dog training.
- Familiarity with kennel operations and animal restraint techniques.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job duties.
- Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with team members and pet owners.
