Job Description:
Technical Program Manager (TPM) for a hardware product team working on Smart Glasses.
🔹 What to look for:
- Someone who has 5 years of experience managing hardware projects in consumer electronics (smartwatches, AR/VR devices, smart glasses, etc.)
- Engineering background (mechanical or similar), and ideally someone who transitioned into program management
- Experience working with overseas suppliers and hardware vendors (ODM/CM)
- Strong with planning, tracking hardware parts, coordinating builds, and communicating project updates
- Should understand manufacturing processes and how to get a product ready for mass production.
Minimum Qualifications
- BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
- 5 years of experience working as a technology development program manager in consumer electronics
- Experience working with overseas suppliers of hardware components
- Experience in ODM, JDM, and CM vendor engagement models
- Knowledge of phase gate approach to technology development programs
- Experience with mechanical system development, design for manufacturing, tooling, validation, and characterization processes
- Adept at communicating, planning, with high level of attention to detail
- Knowledge of program top issue tracking
Experience operating across multiple teams and programs
