K&K Metal Recycling has been a locally owned recycling center for many years. At KKMR we take pride in what we do and the services we offer.
We are looking for a Class A CDL Truck Driver who will be responsible for local pick-up and delivery of scrap metal. Home Daily.
Duties:
- Pick-up scrap metal generated by industrial, commercial, and other various source accounts that may need material (scrap metal) picked up.
- Perform daily and routine inspections on the truck as required. Immediately report any mechanical issues or problems to the supervisor for servicing as required.
- Use the Electronic Log Device (ELD) and maintain full compliance with DOT hours of service rules and regulations.
- Provide the scale operators with information regarding the account information and the type of scrap metal that is being delivered.
- Ensure that all paperwork, including scale tickets, customer reports, logbooks, odometer readings, fuel receipts or any other information is given to the appropriate individuals.
- Non-Driving physical duties may include strapping, chaining, binding, opening/closing container doors and minor lifting if needed.
- Follow and abide by the company’s Commercial Vehicle Operator’s Policy.
- Follow the list of company procedures in case of an accident.
- Perform other duties as requested or required by management.
Qualifications:
- CDL Class A License REQUIRED.
- Currently hold, or ability to obtain a DOT medical card.
- Ability to pass ALL required DOT drug tests.
- MUST have the ability to drive both manual and automatic transmission types.
- At least 2 years of documented tractor-trailer experience.
- 2 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents.
- Follow all federal and state laws, regulations, rules, and guidelines.
