Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shop Supervisor t to oversee vessel fabrication projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in fabricating ASME Coded Vessels, ensuring quality control, and maintaining compliance with contracts and safety regulations. This role requires effective leadership and communication skills, as well as proficiency in various project management tools.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations in the shop, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth project execution.
- Conduct regular inspections of work performed to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications.
- Review schematics and blueprints to ensure accurate implementation of project plans.
- Implement quality control measures to maintain high standards throughout the fabrication process.
- Prepare reports on project status, including any issues or delays that may arise.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe working environment for all personnel.
- Experience quoting hours to fabricate vessels per drawings and schematics. Review layout of vessel to print before profiling.
- Track and organize incoming materials for each job, and track percentage completed on each vessel.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Superintendent or in a similar role within the ASME coded vessel industry.
- Strong knowledge of materials and the fabrication processes
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents effectively.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong leadership capabilities with experience in managing teams on-site effectively.
