Responsibilities
- Supervise the receiving team to ensure accurate and timely processing of incoming shipments.
- Coordinate with logistics and shipping departments to streamline operations and resolve any discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using Quickbooks or similar warehouse management systems.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies during all receiving activities.
- Train and mentor staff on proper materials handling techniques and equipment operation, including forklifts.
- Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in the receiving area.
- Conduct regular inspections of received goods to ensure quality standards are met.
- Collaborate with other departments to facilitate smooth operations across the supply chain.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or in a similar logistics role.
- Strong knowledge of shipping and receiving processes, including materials handling techniques.
- Proficiency in using Quickbooks software.
- Familiarity with forklift operation and safety protocols.
