Key Responsibilities:
Cattle Care:
- Daily feeding and watering of 25–30 head of cattle.
- Monitor herd health and report any signs of illness or injury.
- Assist with vaccinations, calving, and basic herd management.
- Maintain clean pens and water systems; manage pasture rotation.
- Check and repair fencing and gates regularly.
- Land and Property Maintenance.
- Brush hogging, mowing, and clearing fence lines, fields, and roads.
- Maintain ranch infrastructure: barns, sheds, driveways, and water systems.
- Perform seasonal tasks like storm cleanup, weed control, erosion control, rodent control, etc.
- Keep property organized, safe, and visually maintained.
Equipment & Vehicle Maintenance:
- Operate and maintain tractors, cutters, mowers, UTVs, and related equipment
- Perform routine maintenance on ranch trucks and machinery (oil changes, blade sharpening, minor repairs)
- Maintain service logs and ensure all equipment is in good working order
Required Qualifications:
- 3 years experience in ranch, farm, or property maintenance work.
- Familiarity with cattle care, feeding, health checks, and pasture rotation.
- Proficient in operating tractors, mowers, line trimmers, small gas engines and UTVs.
- Basic mechanical skills; ability to perform minor repairs and maintenance.
- Comfortable working outdoors year-round in varying weather conditions.
- Highly organized, self-directed, and detail-oriented.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (required)
- Ability to speak and understand English required.
- Respectful and professional in a private residence environment.
- Welding a plus, but not required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience maintaining large properties or working on private estates.
- Knowledge of water systems, fencing, and ranch infrastructure.
- Basic welding, plumbing, or carpentry skills (a plus)
