Seeking experienced Child Care Specialist - Subject Matter Expert

Overview

KL Scott and Associates is seeking an experienced Child Care Subject Matter Expert and Specialist to coordinate and deliver comprehensive program support in the implementation of the Data and Information System Consultation Center program. This position will provide advisory and consultation services to multiple states, territories, and tribes that OCC works with.

Responsibilities

Conduct needs assessments, develop strategic plans, and provide consultations to states, territories, and tribes on a variety of child care process improvement issues.
Develop and deliver training materials, toolkits, briefs, and presentations for child care technical assistance program.
Facilitate workgroups and communities of practice to promote collaboration and knowledge sharing among states, territories, and tribes.
Integrate with Child Care Technical Assistance Network to collaborate and coordinate technical assistance delivery, best practices and lessons learned.
Stay up to date on emerging trends and issues in child care data and information systems.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Child Care, Early Childhood Education, Public Administration, or a related field (Preferred). Bachelor's Degree required.

5 years of experience working in a state child care agency focused on process and experience improvement for families and providers.

3 years of experience working with states across the country in multi-domain projects (Reporting, IT).

Experience working with child care technical assistance networks and diverse centers in the planning and delivery of consultations and professional development.

Experience facilitating workgroups and communities of practice.

Excellent writing and presentation skills.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Working Conditions :

While this role is fully remote, the ideal candidate might be asked to be in-office on occasion or for special events / meetings
