JOB DESCRIPTION
First shift, Monday through Friday 7am to 3:30 pm
Summary/Objective
The quality control inspector position conducts inspection of first and last piece of manufacturing products as well as periodic in-process inspections.
Essential Functions

1. Inspect products using calipers, micrometers, bore gage, comparator, coordinate measuring machine, height gage, etc.
2. Produce inspection reports when necessary
3. Interact with machinists and supervisory staff
4. Approve first and last article for production
5. Preform dock audits as needed

1. CMM operation and programming, preferably Zeiss Calypso
2. PC-DMIS and Romer Arm
3. Print reading
4. GD&T
5. Work well in Team environment
6. Organizational Skills

8. Time Management in a fast-paced shop

Travel
Some travel may be required periodically for training purposes.
Required Education and Experience
1. High school diploma or equivalent
2. Knowledge of GD&T
3. Experience performing Gage calibrations
4. Print reading
5. Coordinate Measuring Machine operation
6. Minimum 5 years of experience in quality control function in manufacturing environment.

1. Zeiss Calypso
2. Romer Arm
3. J2 Shop Systems
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud and hearing protection is required in some areas.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee will occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.
