K Line Logistics USA Inc. is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Air Import Operations Staff with at least 2 years of experience for our Chicago Branch. If you have expertise in Cargo Wise One (CW1) and a passion for logistics, we’d love to hear from you!
Position Overview
The Air Import Operations Specialist will be responsible for coordinating international air and ocean import shipments, ensuring smooth freight movement, and maintaining compliance with industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities
✅ Process import shipments via airlines and steamships, handling documentation and logistics.
✅ Communicate with carriers, truckers, importers, brokers, and rail yards.
✅ Track, trace, and provide status updates to both internal and external clients.
✅ Ensure Cargo Wise One (CW1) is used efficiently for data entry, tracking, and billing.
✅ Maintain a customer service-oriented approach with a professional attitude.
✅ Oversee customs entries, compliance, and documentation.
✅ Handle billing, terminal checks, and payments via PayCargo.
✅ Monitor KPI performance and seek opportunities to optimize profitability.
✅ Work closely with the brokerage team for customs documentation.
✅ Manage special shipments, including perishable goods and high-value cargo.
Qualifications & Skills
✔ Minimum 2 years of experience in air import operations.
✔ CargoWise One (CW1) experience is highly preferred.
✔ Strong understanding of import documentation, brokerage files, and customs compliance.
✔ Excellent organizational and communication skills (both written and verbal).
✔ Familiarity with government regulations (TSA, CBP, ITAR, EAR).
✔ Hazardous Materials training (preferred but not required).
