JOB TITLE:

Jewelry Designer

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Design and create jewelry and accessory products based on customer directions and market trends.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: *

• Develop and execute product designs that will reflect customer’s needs and achieve merchandising objectives.
• Research seasonal trends and create trend presentations, including boards, tear sheets, samples and components.
• Ability to create new product designs through illustrator renderings
• Ability to craft conceptual direction / creative vision for new products/collections
• Bring a level of creativity, attention to detail and efficiency while working under tight deadlines
• Collaborate with Sales, and PD team to ensure that designs are engineered to meet cost and margin targets, while remaining aesthetically pleasing and on brand.
• Learning how to work with Product Development Teams overseas to ensure that proper interpretation of designs is executed into actual samples
• Provide detailed specification information of materials, components and parts to PD and overseas vendors.

Skills/Remarks:

• 1-4 years experience preferred, willing to train the right candidate with a strong fashion background or comparable education in fashion or industrial design.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills 
• Ability to present creative ideas to design director.
• Highly motivated to research and understand new trends in the market place.
• Excellent rendering skills as well as expertise in Adobe Software, Illustrator and Photoshop and Rhino
• Technical expertise and superior knowledge of jewelry construction and manufacturing.
• Sense of urgency and ability to multi-task with a positive attitude and confidence.
• Ability to thrive in a fast paced, time sensitive, and ever-evolving business environment and perform under pressure

Education:

Bachelors in Jewelry or Industrial Design (Preferred)
